Please share any educational background, life, or work experiences that relate to your current role and work with VEN:

I started my career in the medical field as a phlebotomist and continued my education to become a medical assistant at Planned Parenthood where I did my first test for Hepatitis C. I later became an HIV Prevention Specialist for a nonprofit where I was able to educate people on preventing HIV and Hepatitis C. I recently graduated from Southern New Hampshire University where I got my degree in Human Services with a concentration in Substance Abuse.

What inspired you to pursue your current career path?

I was inspired to pursue this career path because I love working with people and being there for them during difficult times. I strongly believe that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and I decided to pursue a career where I could provide that to people who need it most.

What is your favorite part about working with VEN Centers?

My favorite part about working for VEN Centers is connecting my patients to Hepatitis C treatment. In previous jobs, all I could do was tell the person they were positive and refer them to a local health department. At VEN Centers, I get to help my patients get medication to cure their virus and make the process as easy as possible.
