What inspired you to pursue your current career path?

She has a passion for creating positive changes for our community of people who use drugs, who have been incarcerated, who have been houseless and who engage in sex work and working with Ven Centers has allowed me to provide education and empower people to make positive decisions regarding their health.

What is your favorite part about working with VEN Centers?

Overdoses and diseases are preventable and at the very least should be something we as a community need to focus on with empathy and compassion regardless of the individuals’ choices in life. Being able to create spaces where every community member is valued, seen and heard is something that is I look forward to being a part of everyday.
