Anita Kohli, MD is a board-certified infectious disease specialist and CEO and Director of Clinical Research at Viral ElimiNATION Centers (VEN Centers), Arizona Liver Health, and Arizona Clinical Trials. Dr. Kohli has over 18 years of experience in the field of HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, STIs, and liver disease care. She leads much of the country’s cutting-edge research in fatty liver and infectious diseases.
Dr. Kohli is an internationally recognized expert in clinical and translational research and has been the lead/principal investigator in multiple studies on various liver conditions and infectious diseases as well as numerous publications in respected medical journals including JAMA, Lancet, and the Annals of Internal Medicine. Dr. Kohli sits on many advisory boards related to infectious diseases such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, hepatitis D, HIV/AIDS, and COVID-19, and is involved in drug development, and other liver and novel research concepts.
Prior to her work in Arizona, Dr. Kohli was a clinical investigator at The National Institutes of Health, a physician at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and completed a fellowship in infectious diseases at the National Institutes of Health.
